The sauteed shiitake mushrooms include butter or sesame oil, soy sauce, lime juice, hot sauce, and a hint of toasted sesame oil.

  1. The first step is to slice the shiitake mushrooms and rinse them thoroughly. Don’t forget to remove the stems, as they are very hard.
  2. Once you clean the sliced shiitake mushrooms, you have to cook shiitake mushrooms in a skillet using the sesame oil or butter by stirring occasionally, plus a small amount of kosher salt.
  3. Once their texture is somewhat brownish, you can add soy sauce, lime juice, Sriracha, and a hint of toasted sesame oil.

  • After that, pour two and a half cups of water into the pan.

The ingredients used to make this recipe are pasta, garlic, extra virgin olive oil, fresh or dried shiitake mushrooms, fresh parsley, creme fraiche, lemon zest, and Parmigiano Reggiano (optional).

  • If you use dried shiitake mushrooms, place them in warm water for about 30 minutes.
  • Begin with boiling water in a large bowl and add a small amount of salt.
  • Pour the pasta into the bowl and let it cook. The cooking time is around 8-10 minutes. Once it is cooked, drain it and place it aside.
  • The next step is to heat the olive oil in the pan and sautée shiitake mushrooms and garlic.

7. Shiitake Mushroom Risotto

This is one of the unique shiitake mushroom recipes which you must try. To make the risotto, heat the olive oil with the shallot until it turns brown. Add mushroom and butter, and cook them until the mushroom turns brown.
