The most popular tourist destination in France is the Eiffel Tower, which is in Paris and is considered a symbol of love. The monument is the tallest structure in Paris. Its height is 330 meters. At the top of it, there is a champagne bar.

One of the fun facts about the Eiffel Tower is that during the construction of this tourist attraction, it was considered a terrible idea. Locals claimed it to be a waste of time, money, and space. But Gustave Eiffel did not stop; he continued to build this monument, which later turned into one of the most prominent tourist attractions in the world.

2. Europe’s Busiest Railway Station

The world’s busiest station is in Paris, Gare du Nord. Around 2,00,000 passengers travel daily, and approximately 214.2 million passengers travel yearly.

3. National Anthem

The French national anthem is known as La Marseillaise. France’s national anthem was written in 1792 by Claude Joseph Rouget de Lisle, a French author.

4. Highest Mountain

Montblanc is the highest mountain situated in Western Europe. It is the 11th-highest mountain in the world.

France produces 1,500 types of cheese, and the exact number of cheeses is unknown. Cheese is a part of French gastronomy. It is extremely popular, and lots of people love to eat it.

6. French Government Awards Medals

The French government awards medals to good parents if their families have more than four kids and raise them well. That family, too, gets the Médaille de la Famille française, which means Medal of the French Family.

Parents can apply through the local town hall when the oldest child turns 16. It was part of a movement to honour the mothers who had taken up the role of both a mother and the father during the First World War and who raised their children well, even though they lost their husbands on the battlefield.
