1.1 The Classic Three-strand Braid

Here is a tutorial for the classic three-strand braid

If you’re looking for something easy and a carefree look, then this braid is perfect for you. This classic three-strand braid never gets out of style. The timeless braid is so captivating that even a cartoon character, Elsa, couldn’t resist it.

All you have to do to get this braid is to first brush your hair and remove all the tangles. Now make a full ponytail of your hair and then divide it into three sections; right, left, and the middle section. Next, take the hair from the right side and cross it over the middle part of your ponytail. Then take the hair from the left side and cross it over the new middle section.  You need to keep doing this until you reach the bottom of your braid. Now tie your braid with a hair band, and you’ve got yourself the classic three-strand braid.

If you are someone like me and looking for a more laid-back look, gently tug on the sides of the braid to loosen it a bit. This adds volume and texture to your braid. You can also accessories your braid using a ribbon or a pin.

1.2 French Braid

The next braid we will be talking about is the French braid. Now, this may look a bit sophisticated and complex, but with a little bit of practice, it will be just a piece of cake for you. So let’s delve into it. First, start with clean and dry hair. Don’t forget to remove all the tangles by brushing your hair and once you’re done with it, then decide where you want the braid to begin.

Then divide your hair into three sections, right, left, and the middle, just like we did in the three-strand braid. Now, take some hair from the right side and cross it over the middle section. Now, gently use your left hand to pick up a tiny strand of hair from your scalp, and delicately weave it into the newly formed middle section

Okay, take the left part and cross it over the middle one. Then grab a bit of hair from your head and toss it into the right section. Now, cross that over the middle too. Just keep doing this back and forth until it looks how you want it. And now that we have worked our way down to the end of the hair, we will secure it with a hair band. And now you have the perfect belle French look. Amuse-toi bien!

1.3 The Dutch Braid

This braid is also known as an inverted or an inside-out braid. If you know how to style a French braid then this is going to be a piece of cake for you. So now check out this braid—it’s like the French one but flipped. Instead of going over, it goes under. And this is perhaps why it is also known as the reverse French braid. So let’s get into it.

I’m pretty sure you know the drill by now. Give your hair a quick brush to untangle it, and then decide where you want to kick off the braid. Now divide your hair into three sections, the right, the left, and the middle. Hold the right section with your right hand and the middle section with your left and cross the right section under your middle section. Now take a small section of your hair from your scalp from the left side and add it to the new middle. Then take the left section and cross it under the new middle.

What we have to do next is to take a small section of your hair from the right side of your scalp, add it to the new middle section, and cross the right section over your new middle section. Keep repeating this process until you reach the end. Once you are done with your braid, tie it with a hair band. You can also use a hair spray to prevent flyaways.

If you’re looking for something more fancy, then you can also make use of fancy hairpins and hair bands to give it a more festive look!

1.4 Fishtail Braid

If you’re looking for something elegant, simple and something which doesn’t take much of your time, then the fishtail braid is your go-to hairstyle.  As the name suggests, it looks like a fishtail and gives a very cute, delicate look.

Brush your hair and remove the tangles. Decide the area where you want your braid to start and divide it into two sections; the right and the left.  Grab a tiny chunk from the side of your right part and swing it over the left. Then, grab a bit from the side of your left part and swing it over the right. Keep repeating this until you work your way down to the end of the braid. Now secure the braid with a hairband. It gives it a more chic look, you can also use a ribbon to tie your braid.

If you want to give it a more relaxed loose touch, then gently tug on the sides of the braid to loosen it and to give it a more fluffy look.

1.5 The Boxer Braid

How to make a boxer braid

This braid involves two symmetrical braids on either side of your head. This gives you a more sporty look. Now, to begin with the braid, brush and remove the tangles, and then part your hair right down the center of your hair from your forehead all the way to the nape of your neck.

Now divide your hair into two equal sections, one on each side of your hair, and use a clip to secure one section. Now, first, we’ll make the braid on the loose side, and then we’ll follow the same steps on the other side of your hair.

Alright, take the side that’s hanging loose and chop it into three pieces: right, left, and right in the middle Cross the right side over the middle and then the left side over the new middle. After the first few crosses, next you have to keep adding hair from the scalp to the left and the right side of the strands before crossing them over the middle section. Just keep grabbing more hair and throwing it over the middle strand until you’ve braided all the way down. Once you have added all the hair from the section into the braid, continue braiding without adding more hair and tie the braid with a hairband.

Now take the other side of your hair and repeat the same process here as well and now you have got yourself a boxer braid.

1.6 The Waterfall Braid

If you’re planning a date and looking for something a little more elegant and romantic, then I have the perfect braid for you! So let’s begin.

I’m pretty sure you know the first step by now, so I’m just gonna save you the trouble of going through the first step of brushing your hair and moving on to the next step. Choose where you want to start braiding and break that part of your hair into three sections

First, toss the right piece over the middle, then sling the left piece over the right.”Again, cross the right over the new middle and then drop the left section and let it hang. Grab some more hair from the top and slap it onto the right side. Keep doing that until you’ve braided all the way down, then just stick a Bobby pin in there. And now you’re ready for your romantic date!

1.7 The Boho-chic Hairstyle

For all the free-spirited bohemians out there, this hairstyle is the perfect manifestation of your personality. The relaxed and flowy nature of the boho chic hairstyle reflects our free approach to life. So let’s get started.

Choose the type of braid that you want. The boho chic fraud can vary in style. You’ve got options here—go for a basic three-strand braid, or spice it up with a fishtail braid, or heck, try out a Dutch braid if you’re feeling fancy. Depending on your preference, you have to follow different steps.  Figure out where you want the braid to begin.

If you have decided to go for the three strand braid, then divide your hair into three segments and follow the same guide mentioned earlier. The same goes for the fishtail braid and the Dutch braid.

It gives it a bohemian look, all you have to do is braid your hair loosely and allow your strands to peek out a bit to create a messy undone look. You can also leave some strands loose and hand freely to ass to the relaxed, carefree look. Once you’re done, tie them up using a hairband.
