Located by the Thames, London is one of the oldest cities in the world. London’s cold weather will certainly drive you to the nearest bar. But if you are tired of seeing your daily bartender and want to mingle with fresh faces, the new bars in London will surely come to your rescue.

They cater to every occasion for the celebration. Your whiskey on rocks and champagne piña coladas will always be in hand.

Some of the Best New Bars in London

1. Bar Levan

The recently opened Bar Levan is one of London’s top-rising watering holes. Inspired by the love of Paris, this bar is highly exclusive, and entry is limited. So be ready to book your seats beforehand. Don’t worry; the walk-in system is also present for impulsive decision-makers.

The food here is exceptional and might even rival the quality of Michelin-star restaurants. Regular customers often recommend Comté Fries. Some customers also say the staff is lovely and will guarantee a memorable experience. The warm and secluded atmosphere adds to this. The vintage sound system playing soft music from vinyl enhances the experience.

The bar offers natural wine, cheese boards, and more. The wine selection is marvellous; you can choose by the glass or the entire bottle. However, if you are not a fan of natural wines, there are plenty of other options, like martinis, cocktails, and an extensive mezcal list.

The bar and restaurant are just a minute away from Peckham station and are easily accessible.

Address: 12-16 Blenheim Grove, London SE15 4QL, United Kingdom.

2. Gothic Bar

This new bar is now one of the best bars in London. Another highly Instagrammable spot, it evokes the gothic elements hinted at in the name. The dark colours, velvety fabrics, and grand architectural structures help create a medieval aesthetic.

The cocktail menu, collectively called vampire elixirs, gives off creepy vibes. It ranges from the Black Widow Martini to the Blood Moon Old Fashioned. If you’re not a lightweight, you might want to try Omens Warning, Thirsty Gargoyle, and Bloody Pickleback (a Bloody Mary with some pickle juice). The wine list is perfect, and the other creepy gourmet dishes align with it.

This cocktail bar in King’s Cross has one of the best management and radiates the perfect vampire mansion vibes. This will certainly be a sophisticated experience.

Address: St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, Euston Rd., London NW1 2AR, United Kingdom.

3. Twice Shy

This dimly lit, quiet cocktail bar is the sister bar of the Amaro Bar in London. The well-planned cocktail menu includes Jasmine and Whisky, Nougat and Vodka, and many more. The drinks menu does not stop with cocktails. The wine section offers plenty of affordable options.

This is the right place if you’re out with friends and need a chilled beer. The menu is not restricted to just drinks; there’s plenty of food and small bite options.

The staff here is super friendly to the customers and will have you coming back. They are not hesitant to share their impeccable knowledge, and they sure do know what they are doing. The prices here are a real bargain without compromising the quality. Please don’t shy away from asking them for custom drinks.

Address: 14 Hogarth Pl, London SW5 0QT, United Kingdom

4. Bar Du Champagne

With a specially curated variety of champagnes and wines, Bar Du Champagne is one of the newly opened bistros in the city. The show-stopper is the champagne collection, but the food is also delicious.

Do try the pommes frittes with herbs and croque messier. The red wine from Cellini Wines pairs perfectly with their Ox Cheek Croquettes. Their Truffled Croque Monsieur is one of the most ordered items on the menu, so don’t miss that.

This sparkling bar has an open charcuterie table, which is uncommon. The brunch menu is a crowd-pleaser. This is the perfect place for a quiet night out with friends and family. The vintage decor will surely add to the overall experience.

Address: 24 Henrietta St, London WC2E 8ND, United Kingdom.

5. Alfi Spitalfields

Another quiet wine bar that serves wine on tap from all across Europe. In addition to the organic and biodynamic Riesling, orange wine, Cava, Pet Nat, and more, there are plenty of food options.

The staff here knows their way around and will be a great help. The cosy overall vibe will certainly elevate the mood. In addition to the beer on tap, they have a few options of bottled beer and bottled wine.

The customers love the prawns with creamy sauce, and the focaccia is too good. Despite being a newly opened space, Alfi has started collecting the hearts of its customers. It’s the perfect blend of flavours and hospitality.

This bar truly rules hearts as it is pet-friendly, too!

Address: 3 Crispin Pl, London E1 6DW, United Kingdom.

6. Dram Bar

This new cocktail bar in Soho is located three floors off Denmark Street. It has a private pool room and a ready-to-drink cocktail vending machine, which is what makes it different from all the other newly opened bars.

The bar is set in a 17th-century building, adding to its beauty. It also has an outdoor terrace for some fresh air. Whisky flows here, and the collection is exquisite. However, if you’re not a fan of the brown-golden liquid, there are plenty of other options. Even non-alcoholic options are available.

In the basement, you can find more sophisticated drink options like the Plum and Whey and the Peach Bamboo. The pricing is fair, considering the area. The quality assured is also a relief. The passionate bartenders and servers will make this an exceptional experience.

The downstairs bar can be the perfect hidden drink and date spot. The moody red and blue lighting will give you a hazy vibe. It gives off an entombed cavern vibe. Make sure you’re there early because the seating is somewhat limited.

Address: 7 Denmark St, London WC2H 8LZ, United Kingdom.

7. Wacky Wombat

This bar is visually thrilling, cosy, and full of bold prints and colours. The opening menu included Wake Up (No More Fables), Der Raum, and V on P (Vegemite on Pisco), which were all named after the bartender’s journeys. Wacky Wombat focuses on flavours rather than classics. You can find plenty of unique cocktails.

The cocktails tend to have less sugar and are healthier (yes, this can be your new excuse to visit Wacky Wombat regularly). There is also a DJ booth here. The bar has a French-chic ambience. The lush greenery adds to this sophistication.

The pricing is okay, given the location and quality of the food and drinks. Another great thing about this bar is that it is wheelchair-friendly.

For a fruity, fizzy cocktail, try the Dry Sunday for Brad or the Moustache & Mullet. For a nutty and creamy taste, try the Green Saltie. If you love some sourness, try the V on P. Overland Truck is your guy if you want a fresh, tart flavour.

Address: Manette St., London W1D 4AL, United Kingdom.

8. Swans Bar At Maison Assouline

The Swans Bar at Maison Assouline is heaven for book lovers. It’s been open for over a year, and this secret, quite expensive bar is worth every penny.

The Trident, Churchill and the Bali Mystique are crowd favourites. They are well known for their cocktail menu, and the Negroni is to die for! This luxury bar is filled with books (that too on discounts).

If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with your favourite drink, this is the right place. The lovely food here makes it perfect for a date.

Hospitable hosts manage this library bar and will make your overall experience awesome. Beware: The red-tinted bar might make you fall in love with it. Yes, you guessed it right, the place is highly Instagrammable.

Address: 196A Piccadilly. St. James, London W1J 9EY, United Kingdom

London will always have new bars and wine shops opening, and the food scene goes side by side with it. These are some of the newly opened watering holes. Be sure to check these places out with your friends and family and make the most of London.
